Phillipsburg Arson Suspect

Pennsylvania State Police has launched an arson investigation following an early morning fire at a home in Rush Township on Wednesday.

Troopers say one individual is in custody after allegedly setting fire to a home along the 100 block of Mulligan Hollow Lane in Philipsburg.

We visited the scene of the blaze Wednesday. Whatever damage there was to the outside of the house looked to be minimal. But a window appeared damaged in the fire, and looking through it, it could be seen that one of the rooms had burn marks.

We’re told charges are pending in Clearfield or Centre Counties, or possibly both. We have been in touch with officials and are waiting to hear more at this time.

The identity of the suspect has not yet been released and state police says the investigation is ongoing.
