Physician General Dr. Denise Johnson was joined by other state medical experts Today to answer your questions about the surge in COVID-19 cases.
The panel was held virtually over Facebook and addressed issues like testing, vaccinations and treatment options for those who have been infected by the virus.
“We have great protection against COVID-19 with the vaccines, and so getting your vaccine, the recommended vaccine and booster will protect you against severe illness and really
hospitalization and death from COVID.”
Dr. Johnson also says that supplies for antibody and oral antivirals are limited, but a network of dispensing sites throughout the Commonwealth is working to provide as many treatments
as possible.
