Pirates vs. Brewers – Series Finale

In the MLB, three teams have won 11 straight games this Season. The Tampa Bay Rays, Houston Astros, and the Milwaukee Brewers with their Win over the Pirates on Saturday. The Brewers had a chance to Win 12 straight on Sunday, which would be the longest Win Streak this Season.

This was the Series Finale between the Brewers and Pirates.

If Fans came to see the fireworks, it didn’t take long. In the Bottom of the First, Kevin Newman with a shot out to left field, his 3rd Homer of the year. The Fans were celebrating early this holiday.

In the Top of the 2nd, watch Wilmer Difo at Short Stop. He makes a diving catch and the throw to first. Phillip Evans stretching for the out, he’s got it.

In the Bottom of the 6th, former Brewers player Ben Gamel at First. Difo gets a friendly bounce for Pittsburgh off the short wall. Gamel booking it and he scores. The Pirates are up 2-0.

And how about the Pitching on Sunday? Tyler Anderson started on the mound. Through 7 Innings he only allowed 3 hits. He had twice as many Strikeouts with 6 K’s. Richard Rodriguez comes in as the Closer and he gets the Save. On America’s birthday, the Pirates end an 11 Game Win Streak with a Shutout.

The Buccos Win 2-0.

The Pirates start a new Series on Monday. They will host the Atlanta Braves for three games. Monday and Tuesday they will play at 7:05pm. Then on Wednesday, they’ll play in the afternoon at 12:35pm.

The good news keeps on coming for the Pirates. Bryan Reynolds will be joining Adam Frazier in the All-Star Game next week. It was announced on Sunday by the MLB that Reynolds will be a National League Reserve Outfielder. Reynolds is 5th amongst all National League hitters in batting, third in on-base percentage, and on defense Reynolds is ranked 2nd amongst all National League Center Fielders.
