Pirates vs. Mets

Multiple reports say the Pittsburgh Pirates have come to terms with 1st Overall Pick Henry Davis and he’ll be introduced on Sunday. Some past Buccos were honored before the Game — as the Team celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the 1971 World Champs — who beat the Orioles in 7 Games that year.

This team are no where near a World Series Contender and showed it early against the Metropolitans. JD Davis is back for this Series — after more than 2 months on the injured list — and blasts this one to straight away center 2-0 Mets in the 4th. Davis’s next at bat in the 6th — on a full count — hits this one to right and it’s over the Clemente Wall.

Mets were up 6-0, but the Buccos battled back. Now 6-2 in the 8th with 2 on for Wilmer Difo, and he blasts one for 3 runs. In the bottom of the 9th, Jason Stallings hits one deep to left for a Grand Slam winning this one 9-7 for the Pirates.
