Pirates vs. Orioles

COVID is affecting how we watch Spring Training, so if you didn’t get a chance to see the Pirates in action on Sunday, we’ve got Highlights.

Sunday in Spring Training, the Pirates taking on the Baltimore Orioles down in sunny Bradenton Florida. In the top of the 1st Inning, Gregory Polanco grounded to first. The Orioles had a fielding error which allowed Ke’Bryan Hayes and Kevin Newman to score 2 runs, so the Pirates take a 2-0 lead early. Starting on the Mound was Chad Kuhl. He only allowed 2 hits, which were back-to-back singles in the First Inning. He struck out the three final batters he faced for Baltimore.

Lets go back to Polanco. He hit the first ball out of the park for the Pirates this Season for a two-run Homer bringing Colin Moran home with him. The Pirates up 4 to nothing in the third. Todd Frazier in the top of the 5th hits his first Home Run as a member of the Buccs.

The Pirates took this game 6 to 4 to start Spring Training off right.

The Pirates are back at it for the next two days. They’ll take on the Toronto Blue Jays Monday afternoon and then the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday. Both games starting around 1 in the afternoon.
