Pittsburgh Penguins

The Pittsburgh Penguins made it interesting last night but they remained red hot with a 6-4 win over the Ottawa Senators.

It looked like it would be a waltz for the Pens after 3 first period goals had the Pens up 3-1.

Sidney Crosby had a wicked backhand goal and Mike Matheson tallied his second goal of the game. And it was 5-1.

The Pens blinked and the next thing you knew Josh Norris scored to make it a 5-4 game with just under 12 minutes to go.

Fortunately the Pens held on as Jake Guentzel’s empty netter made it 6-4 and that was all she wrote.

But there isnt much time to rest and enjoy it. Tonight the Pens are in Ohio to meet the Blue Jackets in a divisional matchup.

This will be the last road game for Pittsburgh until February. They will be on their home ice for the next 7 games.
