Authorities say a Port Matilda man has been sentenced to 240 months, or 20 years, in prison for receiving and possessing child pornography, according to a release from the Department of Justice.
Investigators say in Nov. 2020, 36-year-old Michael Dashem plead guilty to the charges following an investigation and indictment.
Authorities say Dashem’s sentence will be served consecutively to a state prison sentence that he is currently serving.
The case was investigated by the FBI and Pennsylvania state police after authorities received a tip from Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide program aimed to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
