PSU COVID Testing and Campus Return

Penn State’s in-person classes resume next week. The University is telling Students planning on returning to campus they’re going to have 2 rounds of COVID-19 testing. The University announcing Monday the new requirements for Students planning on being back on campus beginning next Monday for the remainder of the Spring Semester. Penn State previously said those Students will first need a negative COVID-19 test result on file, or within three days of their return. Now, the University announcing a second series of tests, a universal round of retesting for all Students within the first two weeks of in-person campus classes.

Within the next few days, Students should receive an e-mail on how to schedule those tests and they’re urged to do so, as soon as possible. Penn State says the COVID retesting is for all Students who will be taking in-person classes, or are taking a fully remote coarse load while living in Centre County or within a 20 mile radius of a Penn State Campus. At University Park, the COVID retesting will be done at the White Building from February 15th to the 26th.

Penn State says Students who don’t schedule a test or miss their appointment time will not be allowed to participate in University classes or activities until a test is rescheduled.
