PSU Dir. of Athletic Medicine Speaks Out

In the State College board meeting last night, Penn State’s Director of Athletic Medicine raised some eyebrows, Wayne Sebastianelli said that a third of the Big Ten athletes that have had the Coronavirus also appear to Myocarditis.

A inflammation of the heart muscle that could be real serious if not treated.

He said its still early in the infection and doctor’s are still unsure of what to do he also stated that this research is one of the determining factors that led to the Big Ten suspending the fall sports schedule.

Myocarditis is also linked to the flu and the common cold.
