For much of the Summer it looked like there wasn’t going to be a Fall Football Season for Penn State due to the Pandemic, but the Team kicked off their shortened Season on Saturday. However, it wasn’t the same hustle and bustle Nittany Nation and State College area businesses are used to seeing on a Game Day.
Penn State fans are finally happy in Happy Valley again. Football is back, but yet the same COVID-19 protocols downtown are in place. Virtual Valley events have taken place all week leading up to Penn State taking the field against Indiana, but the business downtown are not seeing thousands of people rush to the area for the game like usual which means overall less business and the need for more support from local Students. However, not having a typical Game Day in Happy Valley isn’t scaring the fans away. Next game for the Nittany Lions will be at Beaver Stadium, but with no fans and no tailgates.
