A motion was filed in Federal court by the University and head coach James Franklin on Tuesday to dismiss allegations of sexual harrassment and hazing made by former player Isaiah Humphries.
Lawyers representing the Nittany Lions say that Humphries cannot provide any evidence for his claims.
Asking US Middle District Judge Matthew Brann to dismiss the case.
Also stating that the claims do not fall under the hazing statute.
Humphries filed a lawsuit against the University and James in January 2020, claiming that 4 players demonstrated the hazing.
Humphries also claims that the school and Franklin did not do anything to stop it once it came to their attention and
retaliated against him afterwards.
And that this is a violation of his civil rights under Title 9, the former Nittany Lion transfered to the University of California in 2018.
No word yet on a decision or when the next court date will be.
