Paying tribute to Veterans at its University Park campus, Douglas Braff was there at the ceremony and has more. In a brief ceremony, Penn State paid tribute to those who have served our country, served to protect our country and our freedoms.
At 11:11 a.m. today, November eleven, silence fell and old man minds and thoughts drifted toward America’s brave men and women. The commemoration marks the signing of the armistice that ended the brutal violence of the first World War. Part of Penn State’s Military Appreciation Week.
The ceremony at University Park saw the ROTC color guard ordering the flags and veterans and those currently serving speak to the crowd gathered in front of Old Man. one of those speakers was a retired marine corporal, Kyle Larson.
He’s the president of the Penn State University Veterans Organization.
“Yeah, it’s it’s an honor for sure. You know, this means a lot to a lot of people, and I just hope that we did our best and showed showed the great sacrifices that our people make for this country and we did them justice.”
