The Seven Points Campgrounds at Raystown Lake have opened for the season .
The lake’s camping season runs from the first weekend in April through the last full weekend of October.
Park Ranger Jacob Hohman says they currently offer 260 sites and wants to remind people of the guidelines while camping.
Officials say all public safety protocols are still in place, and must be adhered to including wearing a mask when entering any building on lake property.
“The awesome thing about Raystown and Seven Points Campgrounds is that we really have it all. From all of the campground facilities to boat launches. We have a very large beach that can hold lots of people, and lots of people safely, with that social distance. It’s just kind of a hub of everything that Raystown has right here in Seven Points. It’s an awesome place to come out and recreate during the summer.”
Raystown is a Federal facility.
Rangers ask people to be mindful of dry conditions when lighting campfires.
