Restaurants Can Go To 50% Capacity Monday

Starting on Monday, restaurants are allowed to host at a higher capacity, and push back their last call, so in State College, spaces like Champs, are readjusting just in time for football season.

Penn State football just released their 2020 schedule, and in order to prepare, businesses are trying to keep up with the governors new orders.

“It’s definitely been challenging. Some of them we didn’t get a lot of notice on so we had to quickly juggle things around to accommodate.”

Restaurants are now allowed to increase their indoor capacity to 50% and last call is now at 11 Pm.

“Overall we’re grateful to be open. And we want to do what we have to do to keep our guest safe and our community safe”

On a gameday, champs normally is overflowing with Penn State fans, but this season will be much different.

“We are still working on how we’re going to handle some of the reservations because we just got that information not long ago and we are going to do our best to accommodate as many people as we can do that they’re here having a good time. But still follow the guidelines.”

Penn State footballs first game is October 24th against Indiana and Champs plans on still hosting watch parties, but its still unclear how different they will look this year.
