Robbery and Hit-and-Run

A Pittsburgh man has been charged after Johnstown Police say he ran over a woman near Solomon Homes Saturday night with a truck and tried to rob her. The entire thing was caught on video.

When Officers got to Solomon Homes around 10pm they found the woman. They say surveillance video shows she tripped running as the truck started to chase her. A man got out of the truck and assaulted her while she was on the ground. Another man in the truck then tried to steal her purse. Both men then got in the truck, ran over her, and fled the scene leading Police on a chase down the Johnstown Expressway and Route 219 into Somerset County.

Eventually, Police caught them near the Davidsville exit. Officers say 25-year-old Denzelle Kendrick was driving the truck. Kendrick faces charges of criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and robbery. He was arraigned Sunday morning and is behind bars at the Cambria County Jail. Police haven’t identified the second Suspect.
