State College Area School District officials announced that students will return to in-person learning on Monday, according to a post on the district’s Facebook.
“After careful consideration, we have decided to return to in-person learning next week. This shift is unanimously supported by our health and safety team, which includes physicians, epidemiologists and our nurses. The team has analyzed the ongoing data for local COVID-19 cases and determined that we’re seeing low incidence rates in the community beyond the college-age population,” Superintendent Bob O’Donnell said.
The district had recently moved to remote learning following multiple COVID-19 positive tests within the district and concerns over the recent spike within Centre County.
