State College Area School District announced that they are bringing back masking indoors for everyone on all properties, regardless of whether or not they’ve been vaccinated.
Health professionals with UMPC have also made pleas to the public to mask up, get vaccinated, and social distance once again.
Centre County Commissioner Michael Pipe says as variants of the virus continue to get stronger, the need to mitigate them grows with it.
“Were going to be seeing a lot of organizations, including Centre County Government, requiring folks when they’re coming into our buildings to wear a mask and that’s regardless of vaccination status. And as we learn more about the variants of COVID-19, we want to keep people safe, and what we’re seeing right now from the CDC is a recommendation to, uh, wear masks inside.”
