State police are investigating the death of an inmate at SCI Rockview, according to a press release.
Authorities say 27-year-old Devontal Thomas was found unresponsive in his cell on Oct. 10 and was pronounced dead by EMS personnel.
Thomas was serving a 1-year and 6 month to 3-year sentence from Montgomery County for robbery.
Officials say Thomas arrived at SCI Rockview on Oct. 8 for violating his parole.
Thomas’ cause of death will be determined by the Centre County coroner’s office and authorities say his next of kin has been notified.
