Somerset County House Fire

In Somerset County a State Police Fire Marshall was called to a house fire this Morning.

It happened on the 3600 of Stoystown Road in Quemahoning Township.

The Stoystown Fire Chief David Johnson says no one was in the home and it was recently remodeled.

The Chief says crews were on scene for several hours because the roof was metal over shingles and there were multiple hot spots that continued to smolder.

“It was fully involved when we arrived. The roof was already collapsed, so it was pretty much an exterior operation. We couldn’t go inside.”

About half a dozen crews responded to the scene.

No one was injured.
