St. Marys Pharmacy Vaccines

On Sunday, St. Mary’s Pharmacy is administering the second dose of the Moderna vaccine for the clinic they had on January 24th.

“We have approximately 1850 patients that’ll be going through Elk Co Catholic in the same manner they did the last time,” said Frank Straub, Owner of St. Mary’s Pharmacy.

Frank Straub said they’ll administer a vaccine every 12 seconds.

He wants to remind residents that this clinic is appointment only and you’ll need to bring your vaccine card.

“We are doing 1,000 doses a week inside of St. Mary’s Pharmacy that we normally do so that’s the way that we’re going to continue to roll forward,” he said.

Despite the recent news of inconsistent vaccine allocations from the state, St. Mary’s Pharmacy is coping.

“As of right now we have vaccines for first dose so we haven’t seen allocation slow down really on our side,” said Molly Beimel, Director of Pharmacy.

Even though they have enough volunteers for the clinic, Straub said he’s thankful for the community support and without them, this clinic would not be possible.
