St Marys Plane Crash

The cause of a Plane Crash at the St. Marys Airport in Elk County is under investigation.

Details are limited at this time, but Authorities say a Plane skid on a snow embankment while landing at the St. Marys Airport. You can see in the video exclusive footage of the aftermath of the plane crash.

According to the FAA, at around 11:00 Monday morning, a twin engine Cessna 421 crashed on Runway 10 while landing at the St. Marys Airport. Vince Caggiano, the Manager of the Airport, says the plane slid on a snow embankment while landing. He did not confirm where the plane was flying out of.

Elk County Dispatch tells us that three people were onboard the plane, but the FAA hasn’t released additional passenger information at this time. According to the FAA’s website, Wheels Up LLC owns this private chartered plane. We reached out to them for a statement and haven’t heard back.
