Stacy Parks Miller Update

Parks Millers law license was suspended by the supreme court in march of 2019 for a year and one day. As Centre County’s district attorney she was found guilty of having ex parte illegal communications through text messages with two county judges without the knowledge of defense attorneys.

She also set up a fake Facebook account for the D.A.’S office to keep tabs on drug dealers. Parks Miller bid to get the license reinstated this year ran into problems when an
accusation was made that she was in contempt for violating a grand jury procedure.

Monday’s hearing was with the supreme court’s disciplinary board,which took notice of the accusation. During the lengthy hearing, Parks Miller apologized for her past behavior involving the ex parte communications and Facebook posting,saying it wasn’t inappropriate, adding it wasn’t the court’s fault that it was her fault,and she feels terrible about that. The hearing began in the morning,and continued into the late afternoon with no decisions announced
