Steelers off to a Good Start

On to the pro game now where the Pittsburgh Steelers got 2020 started on a high note last night, the black and gold picked up a 26-16 road win over the New York Giants on Monday Night Football.

The defense stepped up in a big way sacking Daniel Jones 3 times and forcing 2 interceptions, Ben Roethlisberger threw for 229 yards and 3 touchdowns in his return and Benny Snell stepped in for an injured James Conner and racked up 113 yards.

Head coach Mike Tomlin said he is pleased with his team’s effort, but they definatley have a lot to work on.

“I thought that they were physically tough and mentally tough. But, we have to do some things better. We knew that we were not going to be perfect tonight. We talked about that openly last night in preparation for this opportunity. There is more meat on the bone. I appreciate their efforts, we just got to search for a high ceiling in terms of quailty of play.”

Up next the Steelers will face off with the Denver Broncos at Heinz Field on Sunday.
