Who will be the heir apparent to future Hall Of Fame Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger?
We thought we just might wait until the NFL Draft for that answer. But believe it or not we got some clarity Today.
The Steelers inked former number 2 overall pick of the Chicago Bears out of North Carolina Mitch Trubisky to a 2 year deal.
The former Tar Heel spent his first 4 seasons with the Bears before signing a deal with Buffalo last year to be the back up for Josh Allen.
Trubisky made the Pro Bowl as a rookie tossing 24 touchdowns before making a steep decline over his last 3 seasons in the Windy City.
He threw for 17 touchdowns in 2019 and was eventually benched for Nick Foles before leaving the Bears.
Heres the interesting stat Trubisky is 29-21 as a starter so hes gotten plenty of flack for losing in Chicago where literally everyone loses.
And the Steelers have the option to ride Trubisky but its low risk if it doesn’t work or they find someone they like in the draft.
