The streets of Pittsburgh were filled with Black and Yellow on Sunday as the Steelers opened Heinz Field to the public for the first time in two Seasons. Unfortunately, the Steelers dealt with several costly injuries Sunday afternoon against the Raiders.
Tyson Alulua fractured his right ankle. He was carted off the field and will be down for a while now. TJ Watt left the game early due to a groin injury. Watt only played two Quarters, but in that time he accumulated 4 tackles and a strip sack.
Diante Johnson also suffered a knee injury on the final play of the game, but before that he did what he could to help his Team. On 3rd and 8, Johnson makes moves to get them inside 10. Then, Juju Smith-Schuster scored his first Rushing Touchdown with the Steelers.
Lets talk about the Rookie Najee Harris. We’ll go back to the first Quarter. The Rookie lays in a great stiff arm and pushes for more yards. At Alabama, Harris could do it all. He showcased his multiple talents on Sunday. His first Touchdown with the Black and Gold, a 25 yard receiving Touchdown. He also lead all rushers with 38 yards.
Shortly after the Rookie scored, Veteran O-line man Trai Turner ejected after spitting towards a player on the Raiders. Later, Coach Tomlin said that Turner was spit on as well, but that was not seen by the Referees.
The Raiders scored on two of their last three drives and went on to beat the Steelers with a Final Score of 26-17.
