The State’s Restrictions on Indoor Dining remain in effect until January 4th, but one Somerset County Restaurant is defying that order and letting customers Dine-in anyway. Cars filled the parking lot of the Summit Diner in Somerset on Saturday morning as customers flowed in and out of the Dining Room. They shut down the weekend after the restrictions were announced, but then made the decision to stay open for Indoor Dining. The Manager says their Customers have been supportive of their decision.
She says she believes they are an Essential Business and that their Employees are Essential too. The Governor’s Office says Businesses or Persons who do not comply with the orders may be subject to Citations or Fines.
