TJ Watt Signs Big Contract

According to NFL Insiders Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter, the Pittsburgh Steelers are close to finalizing a contract extension with outside linebacker TJ Watt that would make him the highest paid defensive player in the NFL.

Rapoport reports that Watt’s extension will be a 4-year deal worth over $112 million, with $80 million fully guaranteed.

Schefter notes that the deal should be finalized within the next 24 hours.

Watt, who fully practiced on Wednesday, is expected to play Sunday when the Steelers travel to Buffalo.
