Trough Creek Fire

Fire officials with the Trough Creek Valley Volunteer Fire Department say planes had to be called in to assist in fighting a large brush fire in the area of Trough Creek State Park and Raystown Lake.

Officials add that the fire was difficult to access by standard vehicle.

Fire officials also told 6 News that the flames are nearly extinguished and that planes dumped at least six loads of water on the blaze.
