Two men are facing charges in Bedford County after multiple dogs were allegedly found tied in extreme heat.
On July 5th police responded to 31 year old Alex Claar’s home in Kimmel Township for a report of neglected dogs.
Police say four dogs were found tethered in 90 degree heat with little or no shelter, dry water bowls and little to no food.
Police say 41 year old Robert Thompson Jr was at the property and claimed that he had been caring for the dogs.
Claar and Thompson are each charged with multiple offenses, including misdemeanors for animal neglect.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 2nd.
