Face masks will soon be required for anyone entering a UPMC facility.
The Healthcare System says starting February 12th masks will be required to be worn by patients, visitors, support personnel, and anyone else entering a UPMC facility.
Company officials say they’re implementing the policy in response to a rise in respiratory viruses including COVID-19, Influenza and RSV.
UPMC says it will continue to monitor the situation and will re-assess the policy when numbers decline.
Officials add that masks will be provided for anyone who needs one.
