All Adults aged 16 and older are now eligible for the COVID-19 Vaccine. Nationally, the White House starts a $150-Million push to help more Americans get the Vaccine. The focus is on helping undeserved and vulnerable populations access the shot and convincing skeptics it is a shot worth taking.
The CDC says over 130-million people 18 and over have had at least one shot. However, so far Black and Hispanic Americans have gotten vaccinated at lower rates than their share of the population. Dr. Anthony Fauci says this is due to Leaders playing politics with the Vaccine. At the same time, the Johnson and Johnson Vaccine remains on pause. But Officials say a decision to move forward is just days away.
Johns Hopkins University says more than 3 Million people are getting a Vaccine dose each day.
Our Local Leaders are also joining the effort to get more Americans vaccinated. Governor Wolf received his first dose of the Moderna Vaccine at the Health Center Monday morning in York County. Wolf says he didn’t even feel the needle in his arm and is doing great.
