The current vaping epidemic in our schools brought together administrators, nurses and guidance counselors from 5 school districts.
The initiative was hosted by Forest Hills Junior Senior High School.
The district has also installed vape detectors technology they say is already helping to reduce vaping on school grounds.
“We want to try and combat the issue on vaping ”
“There is a huge issue in our youth and being caught with vaping devices ”
“I wanted to host this seminar to bring other schools in and get their input and present ”
“Whatever we can do, we are gonna do it ”
Their long-term goal is to host a multi-school vaping summit an event that would most likely include students and parents.
