Today, after being on a hiatus for a few years, hundreds of people gathered here and here inside the timber community building for the Windber Winter Wine Fest say that three times fast, especially after having a drink of wine or to see what we did there.
This event was a tradition for about five years in Windber before COVID canceled their recent events, of course. Wineries, distilleries and breweries were there in addition to holiday shopping items. I was here when it started back in 2013, and I just took a peek out onto the floor and I are this afternoon.
“This session is probably our strongest that we’ve had, so I’m encouraged that this relaunch is going to go very well. All proceeds will go back into the community for recreation like their farmer’s market and park and swimming pool facilities.”
The season of giving has begun and a local group hosted one of several food drives in our area.
