2022 Centre County Festival Week

It’s festival week in Centre County with Arts & Historical events being held throughout the area this week.

For artists, the Summer Festival Circuit has been tough in the past few years with the pandemic, the economy and other factors. But this year festivals are back in person.

“What were hearing from other artists who do other shows is that sales have been great.i think a lot of pent up demand. people want to come out and see other people and see cool art,listen to music and have a great time.”

In Downtown State College Monday the transformation underway setting up for the 56th Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts.

More than 300 artists, 80 plus live performances and more all getting underway with the traditional children’s day festivities on Wednesday and there’s still time to help the cause.

“Well we could always use a few more volunteers. so we have spots open as artist ambassadors, which is a great way to see the sidewalk sales. you can volunteer and shop at the same time. if you have a group, we could use you the trash crew. like a scout group, church group,that kind of thing. its one activity we do thats great for a group.”

Also in Centre County this week, the People Choice Festival at its new location at its new location at Grange Park in Centre Hall, and in Philipsburg its the annual Heritage Days celebration.
