Altoona police say they’re looking for a man who tried to shoot another man in the head Saturday.
The Altoona Police Department says 33-year-old Charles Mobley is charged with attempted homicide for trying to kill a man around 6:40 p.m. on the 2100 block of 4th Ave.
According to police, the incident happened at a small child’s birthday party.
They say Mobley hit a man multiple times in the head with a pistol before aiming the gun at the man’s head an pulling the trigger multiple times.
Police say the gun did not fire, and Mobley stole the man’s cellphone and car keys before running away.
Authorities say Mobley was convicted of third-degree murder in Philadelphia in 2008 and should be considered armed and dangerous.
