A spaghetti dinner fundraiser was held Sunday at the Bedford Elks Lodge for potential upgrades to the coffee pot statue in Bedford.
Those involved with the project say they are trying to raise $50,000 by June, but right now they are just under 10,000.
They say the main focus is to renovate the roof and add sprout spouting to, quote, give it new life.
The next fundraiser is the home and garden show at the Bedford Fairgrounds, April 15th and 16th.
“Hundreds of people, thousands of people stop by all the time and take pictures. And it’s just an icon, a historic icon on the Lincoln Highway.”
