Plans for an industrial project with a familiar name have once again been submitted in Centre County.
Maybe the third time is the charm for the Bellefonte Warehouse Project.
On Tuesday, developers disclosed that plans for the project are again in the works after previously being withdrawn, twice, but this time, the plans are for a much smaller warehouse.
Originally, the warehouse was to be located in the Benner Commerce Park and would cover nearly a million square feet.
Now, it’s down to about 125-thousand square feet on a 46-acre lot, in the same area of the park.
A pre-application meeting for the latest rendition of the warehouse is expected to be held within a month.
“We are working tirelessly to better define the building footprint, as well as the parking associated with the building.”
Questions remain about the warehouse project; mainly, what company will be using it?
Developers didn’t address speculation that it could be Amazon. They also didn’t want to talk about why the project is being significantly downsized.
