After last month’s devastating floods in Kentucky a local church is organizing to help.
Berkey Church of the Brethren in Windber is connected with Kentucky through almost 25 years of mission trips.
They have come together through their faith in order to help those who have been impacted by the flooding by fundraising money for the victims as well as collecting clothing, canned goods, and kitchen supplies.
They’ve also made an effort by writing letters to families and putting together photo albums for those who have lost everything.
Jason Crissman, the associate pastor at Berkey Church of the Brethren, highlights the different ways that a community can help.
