State police in Bedford County say a Chestnut Ridge school official is behind bars after he reportedly failed to properly report sexual assault allegations involving a student.
Troopers say in February, they received numerous complaints that a 12-year-old male student had been repeatedly sexually assaulting other students on one of the buses.
According to the affidavit, troopers learned that the school had first been notified of the allegations in November but failed to properly report them to ChildLine.
Police say the middle school’s principal and vice principal were reportedly both involved in the initial investigation.
Troopers say Vice Principal Patrick Isgan reported that he reviewed surveillance footage from the bus but concluded that no inappropriate acts had occurred.
