At the Clearfield County Jail board meeting Tuesday, Interim Warden Susan McQuillen says the work release program has been temporarily suspended due to contraband entering the jail.
Mcquillen says one inmate was on work release when she suspended the program.
Commissioner Dave Glass says it will be suspended until the new scanning equipment is operational.
Glass tells us he hopes the program will resume in about a month.
