Spring Mills Woman Killed In UTV Accident

State police say a Spring Mills woman was killed over the weekend in a UTV rollover crash in Clinton County.

Troopers say the crash occurred around 4 a.m. Saturday along Stewart Hill Road in Leidy Township.

According to the crash report, investigators say the 2-seat UTV was traveling southbound when it reportedly left the roadway and struck a tree.

Troopers say the vehicle continued down an embankment, struck another tree and overturned.

Investigators say the driver, a 38-year-old Spring Mills man, and one of the passengers, a 42-year-old Mill Hall man, were both ejected from the vehicle and were transported from the scene with suspected major injuries.

Police say a second passenger, identified as 38-year-old Rachel Gaddis, was partially ejected from the vehicle and became pinned by the roll cage.

Investigators noted that Gaddis was not seated inside the UTV as she was reportedly “straddling” the center console.

Troopers say she suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

State police are continuing to investigate the crash.
