A fatal accident caused Route 53 to be closed for an extended period of time.
State police say a Houtzdale man was killed in a 2 vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.
According to police 63-year-old Daniel Reader was killed when he collided with a car that was waiting to turn-off of West Hannah Street.
Investigators say reader was wearing a helmet but suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
West Hannah Street has since been re-opened.
