Infant Swimming Resource

There are nearly 4,000 fatal drownings and 8,000 nonfatal drownings in the United States each year. More children ages 1 – 4 die from drowning than any other cause of death except birth defects. Drowning is a major public health issue that can be prevented. The Summit Tennis and Athletic Club in Altoona is now offering survival swimming lessons in partnership with Rickey Matherne, an Infant Swimming Resource Instructor. We stopped by the Summit to learn more.

Visit Infant Swimming Resource or Little Explorer Swim for more information. Visit Because of Adam to learn more about Adam’s journey.
