A 49-year-old Yeagertown man is lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown on $100,000 bail after being charged with aggravated assault, attempting to disarm a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest after an incident with Mifflin County Regional Police Department officers on Saturday morning.
Gordon H. Rosser III was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Reed, according to a regional police report.
Mifflin County Regional Police Department Chief Andre French said officers were dispatched to the first block of South Locke Avenue in Yeagertown for a suspicious person complaint.
During their investigation, officers interviewed neighbors who identified Rosser as the suspicious person. As an officer was leaving the complainant’s residence, Rosser stepped outside his house and began running directly at the officer.
Without saying a word, Rosser continued to run directly at the officer, and, police said, was observed “fixated at the officer’s firearm,”
