New Court Order For Jerry Sandusky

Now the latest in the Jerry Sandusky case, where a judge is calling for a new hearing on one issue in Sandusky’s latest appeal.

Jerry Sandusky, who was found guilty on 45 child sex abuse counts in 2012 has continues to file a series of appeals.

His latest, a post conviction relief act appeal, filed last year included more than 400 pages with what was termed new information.

Prosecutors the State Attorney Generals Office term it desperation and hearsay. In a new order, the presiding judge dismisses most of the appeal, saying there are no genuine issues concerning any material facts except for one issue.

It involves an accuser who testified against Sandusky at trial. He’s simply identified as R.R. In Sandusky’s appeal, R.R. Claims he was heavily coached by prosecutors on his trial testimony to make false allegations.

In the latest order the judge is calling for a new evidentiary hearing on R.R.’S testimony. No date is set yet for the hearing.

Sandusky continues to serve a 30 to 60 year sentences in a State Prison.
