The Clearfield County Commissioners discussed new polling equipment for elections this week.
Electronic poll books will replace paper books to help speed up the voting process and reduce paper consumption.
Commissioner Dave Glass says the new system would allow voters to sign in electronically, helping poll workers access registered names from the participants.
He says this will also make it easier for voters to locate the correct polling station if they arrive at the wrong one.
He stresses the equipment will not be hooked up to the internet.
Glass says the new equipment will arrive later this Summer in preparation for the November election.
