“Infrastructure is the backbone of Pennsylvania.” That’s what Governor Josh Shapiro said Thursday after announcing that Millions will improve Transportation. His Administration is investing nearly 50 Million dollars in 58 Transportation Projects in 37 Counties, from Highways and bridges — to aviation and ports — to bikes and pedestrians.
Hundreds of Thousands of these dollars are going towards projects in our 10-County viewing area. Governor Shapiro says this is a way — to spur economic development, create jobs, and help Pennsylvanians reach their destinations — safely and efficiently.
The funding comes from the “Multi-modal Transportation Fund.” PennDOT will begin accepting applications for the next round of funding for Grants on September 25th.
