Pride of Somerset County hosted a pride picnic on Sunday, celebrating the LGBTQ community.
Founder and Executive Director of Pride of Somerset County Alexis Zinovenko said, “We come here today as a celebration, to celebrate the uniqueness that everyone has.”
Event organizers said they hope to make the event a safe environment for all, especially young people.
“This is an event open to all, Not only in the pride community but just anybody who wants to be in a loving, open community and learn about the community and learn about the resources that are here in the area.”
The event’s activities included food vendors, musical performances, and a kid’s section.
