Drivers in Johnstown may have noticed the work being done on Route 56 on the Stone Bridge.
Crews were in the river using lift equipment to access the lighting on the bridge.
Johnstown Area Heritage Association put the lights up in 2011 as part of revitalize Johnstown.
The ongoing project is for maintenance and upgrades on the lighting system.
JAHA officials say the bridge lights help bring the community together because the color of the lights often hold a deeper meaning.
“I think everybody really loves the stone bridge lights sometimes for Holiday for Steelers games.
The project is expected to be completed Wednesday.
