Veterans and active Military members were celebrated on Wednesday in Bedford County. This was at the Bedford Farmer’s Market. The Farmer’s Market is open Downtown in the public square — every Wednesday from 9am to 1pm through September. On Wednesday, Veterans and Military members were given 10 dollar vouchers to use at the Market.
Organizers say they gave out more than 100 vouchers. Lindsay Salas, Main Street Manager of Downtown Bedford Inc. saying: “They love it because they feel a lot of places don’t recognize them so this is an added benefit in living in a small town community that does appreciate the services they’ve given our Country.”
Their next voucher day will be for Senior Citizens on July 19th. That day is also National Hotdog Day, so they say hotdogs will be provided by First National Bank.
